The Effect of Frequency and Temperature on Dielectric Properties of Pure Poly Vinylidene Fluoride ( PVDF ) Thin Films
نویسنده
چکیده
In this work we have evaluated the dielectric properties of poly vinylidene fluoride (PVDF) thin films of thickness (≈ 20μm) as a function of temperature from 40-70C and frequency varying from 500 Hz to 100 kHz respectively for Al-Al and Cu-Cu electrode configuration. The dielectric constant values increases with the increase in temperature. A broad peak is found at around (70±5)0C. The maximum value of dielectric constant and dielectric losses were attributed to the phase transition of the polymer. The variation in dielectric constant and loss tangent suggest the net effect of some internal field within the polymer along with the external A.C. field.

Isothermal Melt Crystallization Kinetic Behavior of Poly (vinylidene fluoride)
Isothermal melt crystallization kinetics of PVDF was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry. Thin PVDF film has been fabricated by the solvent casting technique using dimethylformamide (DMF). Then, the samples were melted and subsequently crystallized in the range of the crystallization temperature (Tc) between 138 and 145 °C. The crystallization kinetics was derived from Avrami equa...

Ferroelectric poly(vinylidene-fluoride) (PVDF) has, in the past, been proposed as an ideal candidate for data storage applications as it exhibits a bistable, remanent, polarization that can repeatedly be switched by an electric field. However, fabrication of smooth ferroelectric PVDF thin films, as required for microelectronic applications, is a long-standing problem. At present, the copolymer ...

The surface properties of TiO2-PVDF nanocomposite membranes were investigated by incorporating different chemically modified TiO2 nanoparticles into the poly (vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) matrix. The nanocomposite membranes were prepared via dual coagulation bath diffusion and the induced phase inversion method. The membrane surface morphologies were investigated by using SEM and AFM and related...

The dependence of single-molecule photoluminescence intermittency (PI) or "blinking" on the local dielectric constant (ε) is examined for nile red (NR) in thin films of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF). In previous studies, variation of the local dielectric constant was accomplished by studying luminophores in chemically and structurally different hosts. In contrast, the NR/PVDF guest-host pair...

PZT-Poly(vinylidene fluoride) composites were prepared by hot-pressing method. Before addition, PZT particles were firstly modified with two different coupling agents. The micromorphology, microstructure, dielectric properties, and piezoelectric properties of the composites were characterized and investigated. Results indicated that PZT particles were homogeneously dispersed in the PVDF matrix ...
